COMBINING A DOCTORATE IN LIBERAL STUDIES WITH PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCES AT MANY OF THE WORLD'S MOST PRESTIGIOUS THEATRE COMPANIES AND UNIVERSITIES, SUSAN SPEIDEL HAS CREATED QUALITY ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES... 

As Director of Education for the Tony-Award-winning Paper Mill Playhouse, from 1987 to 2007, she introduced award-winning theatre education programs, such as the Rising Star Awards, The Adopt-A-School Project, The Summer Musical Theatre Conservatory, The Humanities Series, the Conversation Club, and Senior Theatre programs, that continue to serve students and audience members today.  She served as Chair of the Performing Arts Department at Morristown-Beard School for 12 years, during which time she taught all theatre and public speaking classes, directed over 35 productions and produced over 60 concerts and dance events.  She has also developed and taught classes for Elefante Music & School for the Performing Arts, and for Chatham Community Players, where she also serves on the Playhouse Council as Education Chair.  She has taught at Montclair State University, and Seton Hall University, and currently serves on the faculties of the Kean University Theatre Conservatory, the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and the Rutgers University OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute.
